Art Kandel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Art Kandel of Orrville, Ohio, who passed away on October 14, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kandel and Pauline Kandel (Miller); his children, Carolyn Schlegel and Ronald Kandel; his grandson Travis Kandel; and his sisters, Dorcas Lemon and Judy Wise.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Joyce Conley (Rick) of Wooster, Karen Youngs (Mark) of Corning, NY and Jerry Kandel (Denise) of Kouts, IN; his sisters, Rita Jean Atkinson (Jim) of Orrville and Susan M. Weaver (Dennis) of Orrville; and his children-in-law, Kurt Schlegel (Pam) of Shreve and Julie Kandel of Big Prairie. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auble Funeral Home (512 E Oak St, Orrville, OH 44667). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Martins Mennonite Church (14027 Church Rd, Orrville, OH 44667).
