He was predeceased by: his parents, Shulus and Hessie Ayers (Brooks); his wife Sandra L. Ayers; his son Timothy Jay Ayers; his great grandchild Theodore Crites; and his brothers, Jim, Jerry and Troy Ayers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Crites (Ted) of West Lafayette and Amy Thorn (Thomas) of Shreve; his grandchildren, Teddy, Liz, Dakota Crites, Michael Booth and Christopher Ayers; his great grandchildren, George, Ellie and Matthew Crites; and his brothers, Billie Ayers, Jackie Ayers and Roger Ayers.
