He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Nussbaum and Nettie Nussbaum (Amstutz); his wife Nancy J. Scott; and his siblings, LaVerne M. Nussbaum, Delphia Linder, Marion Nussbaum, Orrie Nussbaum, Harriet Noblit, Adrian Nussbaum, Leroy Nussbaum, John Dwight Nussbaum, Edith Potter and Merlin Nussbaum.

He is survived by: his children, Dawn Lewis (John) of Orrville, Mark Nussbaum of Orrville and Beth Hare (Kevin) of Orrville; his grandsons, Aaron Lewis (Kera) of Mansfield and Justin Hare of Orrville; his great grandchild Lillian Lewis of Mansfield; and his brother Vernon Nussbaum (Ruth) of Nevada.
