He was predeceased by : his parents, James Crooks and Helen Crooks; his wife Barbara Crooks; his daughter Cindy Crooks; his granddaughter Amber Crooks; and his brother-in-law Fred Ater.

He is survived by : his daughters, Cheryl Dingess, Carrie Spring (David) and Christy Keynes; his grandchildren, Michael Dingess (Ashley), Danielle, Sosa and Kirsten Keynes; his great grandchild Aubrey Dingess; and his sister Judy Ater. He is also survived by many cousins, family members, and close friends.
