He is survived by: his children, Douglas Moening (Marlene) of Highland, MI, Russell Moening of Ottawa and Jill Ellis (Curt) of Hilliard; his grandchildren, Daniel Moening, Alex Moening (Amanda Lamb), Jon Moening, Annabell Moening, Chase Ellis and Carter Ellis; his siblings, Ray Moening (Joan) of Ft. Jennings, Barb Kleman of Ottawa, Janet Peck of Kalida, Donna Miller (Gary) of Bluffton, Gary Moening (Kathy) of Glandorf and Mike Moening (Jane) of Glandorf; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Moening of Ottawa, Dick Cramer and James Recker of Glandorf.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Homecare and Hospice, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.
