Donald David Nordhaus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald David Nordhaus of Ottawa, Ohio, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nordhaus and Louise Nordhaus (Conn); and his brothers, Frederick, John and Kim Nordhaus.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Kerner; his children, Michelle Kahle (Gary) of Germantown, TN, Jeffrey Nordhaus (Linda) of Leipsic, OH and Steven Nordhaus (Shannon) of Washington, D. C.; his grandchildren, Whitney Swain (David), Clay Nordhaus (Madeline), Luke, Noah, Austin Nordhaus, Tyler Kahle (Parker), Morgan Clothier (Blake), Nicole Cass (Jerrod) and Nathan Nordhaus; his great grandchildren, Alexander, Heidi, Theodore, Thomas Nordhaus, Aurora Cass, Aspen Cass, Henry Swain, Daniel Swain and Brody Clothier; and his siblings, Laura King (Michael) of Lakewood, OH, Robert Nordhaus (Marcie) of Lake Geneva, Tim Nordhaus (Gail) of Fancy Gap, VA and Ronald Nordhaus (Deb) of Ottawa, OH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Love Funeral Home - Ottawa (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the STS Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Ottawa (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
