Janice left this world on December 4, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Meyer and Odelia Meyer (Warnecke); her daughter Mary Jo Niese; her granddaughter Marissa Niese; and her siblings, Virgil Meyer (Alice), Gene Meyer (Delores), George Meyer, Mary Florence Wischmeyer (Werner), Ethel Walker (Thomas), Dolores German, Patricia Hohenbrink (Dave) and Helen Diemer (Burt).
She is survived by: her children, Frank Jr. Niese (Sandra) of Jenera, Joelyn Etgen (Greg) of Delphos, Charles Niese (Tammy) of Pandora, Jane Rosengarten (Dean) of Leipsic and Rob Niese (Cindy) of Leipsic; and her sisters, Diane Warnecke (Leon) of Ottawa and Marlene Looser (Gene) of Farmington Hills, MI.. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Love Funeral Home - Ottawa (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the STS Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Ottawa (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
Memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School, St. Mary's Catholic Church and School or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
