She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Schaefer and Velta Schaefer (Coomer); and her siblings, Robert Schaefer and Susan Waring (Richard). She is survived by: her sisters, Marge Elden (John) and Linda Stoller (Rick); her significant other Clyde Schroeder; her children, Jan Powell, Joe Schroeder (Kim), Matt Schroeder (Lisa) and Todd Schroeder (Rachel); her grandchildren, Tyler Powell, Hilary Harmon (Matt), Aaron Powell, Zachary Powell, Andrew Schroeder (Madison), Elizabeth DeRosa (Theo), Danielle Schroeder, Will Schroeder, Brooke Schroeder, Emma Schroeder, Alex Schroeder, Kate Schroeder, Jacob Schroeder and Leah Schroeder; Eleanor DeRosa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the Love Funeral Home (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Putnam County HomeCare and Hospice.
