He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Schroeder and Alice T. Schroeder (Verhoff); his father-in-law Louis Borger; and his nephew Jacob Schroeder. He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Allison Sullivan (Ken) of Cleveland; his grandchildren, Casey and Dillon Sullivan; his siblings, Mary Ann Imm (Pat) of Deshler, Jim Schroeder (Ginny) of Glandorf, Charles Schroeder (Rose) of Glandorf, Jerome Schroeder (Diane) of Glandorf, Mark Schroeder (Tammy) of Glandorf, Lois Lammers (Keith) of Glandorf and Beth Bensen (Pete) of Downers Grove, IL; his mother-in-law Beatrice Borger of St. Mary's; and his in-laws, Linda Green of Wapakoneta, Deb Schumann (Paul) of Minster and Chris Borger (Lisa) of St. Mary's. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Love Funeral Home (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (109 N Main St, Glandorf, OH 45848). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery (109 N Main St, Glandorf, OH 45848).
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorial donations may be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Center or School, or St. John the Baptist Parish Center.
