He is survived by: his wife Sharon Stemen; his children, Angie Bockrath of Ottawa, Brent Van Oss (Vicky) of Ottawa and Carrie Karhoff (John) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Taylor Leatherman (Nick), Cody Bockrath (Danielle), Reese Van Oss and Jace Van Oss; his great grandchildren, Jaysa, Aylinn Leatherman, Callan, Nora and Alaina Bockrath; his siblings, Bruce Van Oss (Peggy) of Lima, Kevin Van Oss (Cheryl) of Cloverdale, Gloria Spencer of Cecil and Janice Warnement (Robert) of Kalida; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Stemen (Jan) of Ottawa, Danny Siefker (Judy) of Glandorf and Barbara Freeze of Kalida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:45 PM at the Love Funeral Home (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (109 N Main St, Glandorf, OH 45848). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery (109 N Main St, Glandorf, OH 45848).
