It is with sadness that the passing of Michael A. Byrne of Ottoville, Ohio is shared. Michael, born on July 11, 1956, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Jean Byrne (Schnipke); his in-laws, Jack, Regina Knippen, Don Knippen, Ann Turnwald and Ken Knippen; and his father Robert "Bob" Byrne.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Knippen; his children, Mandy Recker (Michael) of Glandorf, Amy Wannemacher (Doug) of Kalida, Amber Wilhelm (Andrew) of Leipsic and Carie Miller (Todd) of Delphos; his grandchildren, Alexander Recker, Nathan, Melanie, Adam, Natalie Wannemacher, Gage, Logan, Morgan Wilhelm, Zaide, Blayke and Brianna Miller; his siblings, Rick Byrne (Jayne), Carl Byrne (Nancy) and Shirley Byrne; and his in-laws, Betty Wannemacher (Dan), Steve Turnwald, Connie Knippen and Jane Schlagbaum (John).
A prayer will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (189 Church St, Ottoville, OH 45875).
Memorial donations may be made to Ottoville VFW, in honor of his dad, Robert "Bob" Byrne.
