She was predeceased by : her parents, Faye W. Gilmore and Genevieve Pinkerton Gilmore; her husband Leroy Hesse; and her brother Harold Gilmore. She is survived by : her cousins, Dianne Gilmore Young, Tom Pinkerton, Tonya Paddock, Ted Pinkerton and Treva Reiboldt.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Paul R Young Funeral Home - Oxford (5086 College Corner Pike, Oxford, OH 45056). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at the College Corner Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Main Street, Oxford, Ohio 45056, or the Union County Foundation, 404 Eaton Street, Liberty, Indiana 47353 for the Genee Gilmore Hesse Music Fund which benefits Union County High School band and chorus students.
