She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy William Patterson and Gladys Lavina Osborn Patterson; her husband Richard Thomas Denner; her son Daniel Guy Denner; and her siblings, Robert Patterson and Joy Hendershot.
She is survived by: her sons, David Denner (Therese) and Andy Denner (Linda); her grandchildren, Katherine Kosik, Sarah Riffey (Johnathan), Rebecca Egler (Gregory), Matthew Denner (Kelsie), Joshua Denner (Amber), Kevin Denner, Ian Denner, Jacob Denner and Charles Denner; and her great grandchildren, Samantha Kosik, Xavier, Mason, Elijah Egler, Ellis, Eliza Riffey and Willa Grey Denner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers Barbara asked for everyone to "smile at a stranger, laugh often, give your time and talents to others and remember you are loved.".
