With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James R. Sloban (Painesville, Ohio), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2025 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert T. Sloban and Geraldine C. Sloban (Haas); his daughter Marylin Sloban; and his siblings, Chuck Sloban (Melissa), Mary Sloban Barker and Sally Sloban.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Guess-Sloban; his children, Heather Clark (Rick), Julie Warmuth, Janet Warmuth, Rachel Gascon, Rebecca Bowers, Jessica Guess, Bob Sloban (Natalie) and Timothy Judkins (Amanda); and his siblings, Rick Sloban (Donna), Timothy Sloban (Kelly), Patty Sloban Moskal (Walt), Kathy Holser Finotti (Dennis) and Susan Finotti. He is also survived by four granddaughters and two grandsons; two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
