He was predeceased by : his wife Karen; and his siblings, Rosco McElfish and Barbara Kiel. He is survived by : his children, Karl McElfish (Amy), Chris McElfish and Kathy McElfish; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Karen and Ryan.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at the Riverside Cemetery.
