He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Ryan Sr. and Alice P. Ryan (Haggerty); his brother-in-law Barton N. Keyes; and his aunts and uncles, John "Jack" Haggerty, Rudy Lustik, Marie Haggerty Graf (Don) and Mary Lou Ryan.
He is survived by: his sisters, Therese M. Ryan of Eastlake, Margaret A. "Margy" Ryan of Painesville and Mary Pat Keyes of Concord Township; his aunt Judy Ryan Lustik; his close friend Karen Kinter; his nieces, Molly A. Fusaro (Steve) and Kerry A. Jonke (Jason); his nephew Bart Ryan Keyes (Katie); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ben, Sam Keyes, Eliza Keyes, Annabella Fusaro, Lilly Fusaro, Charlotte Jonke, Rory and Cora Jonke; and his cousins, Sandee Collins (Gene), Stephanie Ann Lustik, Patrick Kristo, Morgan Kristo and Bridget Kristo.
