He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard A. Atwell and Mary Jean Atwell (Roberts); and his brother Richard A. Atwell. He is survived by: his wife Kim Atwell (Hietapelto); his children, Stephanie Bissell (Ryan), Justin Rhoads (Izzy), Tyler Rhoads (Chelsie) and Hunter Rhoads (Kennedy); his grandchildren, Sofia, Colton, Cooper, Gavin, Oliver, Beckett, Emerson and Aurora; and his brothers, Chuck Atwell (Sue), John Atwell (Ronda), Bernie Atwell (Jeannie) and Dan Atwell (Kris).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
