He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Bruner and Luave Bruner (Roberts); his siblings, Ronald Bruner, Luave Darlene, Margaret Anna "Peggy" Becker, Mary Biesel and Alverda "Birdie" Costanzo McGuire; his son Robert W Bruner; and his stepson David Zamule.

He is survived by: his wife Elisabeth'Liz" Zamule-Bruner (Norton); his son Brent Bruner (Bobbi); his stepdaughter Stephanie Battaglini (Emilio); his siblings, Ed Bruner, Jake Bruner (Jackie), Raymond Bruner (Kim) and Rita Davidson; and his grandchildren, Robert "Bobby" Bruner, Gianna Battaglini and Evelyn Zamule.
