He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward R. Halstead and Pearl Halstead-Thayer (Blankenship); his son David P. Halstead; and his siblings-in-law, Jimmy Jones, Tom Walters, Al Walters, Judy Walters and Roberta Joles.
He is survived by: his son-in-law Matt; his grandchildren, Adam and Nyomi; his wife Margaret L. Halstead; his children, John Halstead, Edward Halstead, Joanna Gates (Greg), Cheryl Baker, Deanna Johnson (Rob) and Jessica Webster (Matt); his sisters, Edwina Jones and Marilyn White (Carl); his daughter-in-law LuAnn Rossley (Thomas); and his caregivers, Diane, Juliana, Leslie and Taylor. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 1/2 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made out to his wife, Margaret.
