He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Dianna; his children, Stacy Kern-Fowler (Ronald) and Jason Kern (Valerie); his grandchildren, Andrew, Lucy, Millie, Ruby and Teaghan; and his siblings, Tom (Nancy), Rich (Sharon), Marianne Adams (Tom), Ed (Ellen), Jim (late Pat), Bill (Lori), Jack (Betty) and Mike (Cheryl).

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 1st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Zabor Funeral Home (5680 Pearl Rd, Parma, OH 44129). A burial was held on Friday, February 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
