He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jens Breckling and Agnes Marie. He is survived by: his close friend Marcia Unger; his sisters, Linda Mulloy (Al) and Anne Samkas (Dan); his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Phillips (Darren), Meghan Mulloy, Kristen Urmetz (Matthew), Ryan Mulloy (Kimberly), Daniel Samkas, Amber Samkas and Aaron Samkas; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jacob, Mallory, Allison of Randy, Matthew, Keegan, Liam, Sophia, Parker, River and Lakelynn; and his pet Caesar.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a sober living house in Cleveland or the American Cancer Society.
