With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gloria Borys of Parma, Ohio, who passed away on July 14, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gloria may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her children, Lisa Dermenov and John Dermenof; her grandsons, Alec Johnson (Haerin) and Elliot Johnson; her great grandchild Taeo Johnson; and her siblings, John Borys (Diane), Nick Borys (Deborah), Peter Borys and Mary Riggle (Steven). She was also cherished by Nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kolodiy-Lazuta Funeral Home (5677 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral (5913 State Rd, Parma, OH 44134). A burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Pokrova Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Cemetery (6812 Broadview Rd, Parma, OH 44134).
