He was predeceased by: his wife Rosalie; his daughter Corinne (Percival); his parents, Jean Carpenter and Arthur Carpenter; and his sisters, Bertha Yantko, Lorellen Bombalek and Alma Carpenter.
He is survived by: his son Michael Carpenter; his daughter-in-law Kim Carpenter; his daughter Cindy Weekley; his son-in-law Rudy Weekley; his son John Carpenter; and his pet Missy. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
He loved donating to St. Jude and Shriners Hospital for children, among many other charities. He would appreciate if his memory lived on in a donation to one of those, rather than flowers.
