She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Sheets and Eudella Sheets (Ballinger) of Bremen; her brother Walter Sheets; and her husband Robert Thompson (Bob) of Carroll. She is survived by: her siblings, Ruth Duvall, James Sheets (Jim) and Maryann; her brother-in-law Ronnie Smith; her children, Sheila (Chris) and Rob Thompson (Vondra); her grandchildren, Jordan Thompson (Debbie), Katharine (Katie) and Elizabeth Thompson; and her close friend Evelyn McGee. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

To honor her hometown, Jackie has asked that contributions be made to Bremen's Howell Park or the Bremen Area Historical Society.
