It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Richard Johnson (Pataskala, Ohio), born in Newark, Ohio, who passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roland Johnson and Ocie Winifred Johnson (Wiswell); and his aunts and uncles, John Wiswell, Louise Wiswell (Johnson), Dale Grove, Rachel Grove (Wiswell), Alvah Lightfoot and Ester Lightfoot (Wiswell).
He is survived by: his wife Emily Charlene Johnson (Davis); his daughters, Cheryl Lynne (Johnson) and Hayes (Scott); his granddaughter Emily Clarissa Hayes; and his sibling's children, Robin Spencer, Jill Maxwell, Rodney Tufts (Kim) and Jack Maxwell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tri-Village Christian Church (7509 E Broad St, Pataskala, OH 43062). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
