Lynda Remias Obituary

Lynda Remias, resident of Pataskala, OH, and formerly of Girard, OH, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 30, 2026. Born in Youngstown, OH, on February 23, 1951, to Michael Sr. and Mary (nee Popowich) Fabry, who preceded her in death. Lynda was a faithful member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Youngstown, followed by Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Girard, then the now-former Immanuel Lutheran Church in Youngstown. Through the years, she worked as a secretary at St. John Lutheran Church in Youngstown, and then Girard City Schools, but she may be remembered most as the owner and operator of Lynda's Catering. Blessed with a gift for cooking and a generous spirit, she helped countless families in the surrounding communities celebrate life events by catering graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, weddings, and funeral gatherings until moving to Pataskala to be closer to her kids and grandchildren.

Lynda is survived by her husband of 54 years, David; children, Dave (Erin) Remias of Canal Winchester, and Rebecca Johnston of Pataskala; grandchildren, Madelyn Remias and Austin Remias, and Troy Johnston and Trent Johnston; brothers, Michael Jr. (Janet) Fabry of Lowellville, OH, Thomas Fabry of Poland, OH, and Charles (Rose) Fabry of Warren, OH; and many nieces and nephews - all who will miss her cooking, her laugh, and her heart. Family will receive guests at Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home, 289 S. Main Street, Pataskala, OH, on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service in the chapel. A formal celebration of life will take place at a later date and time to be decided.
