He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Franklin and Vera Maude Hughes; his wife Fay Hughes (Grogan); and his siblings, Charles, Odell, James, Vera, Albert, Clara Anne, Herbert, Alton, Nell and George Martin.
He is survived by: his children, Wayne Hughes (Cathi), Gary Hughes (Deb), Ken Hughes and Sandra Kinser (Jerry); his grandchildren, Tim, Jon, Jeff, Ashley, Chad, Matt and Ryan; and his great grandchildren, Vincent, Kerra, Jacob, Ceci, Xander, Joseph, Kyler, Chase, Mya, Madison, Dominik, Chloe, Everlee and Antonietta. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family, friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home (289 S Main St, Pataskala, OH 43062). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
