It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Smith (Paulding, Ohio), who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John W. Smith to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Loy Zay and Margie L. Smith (Priest); his wife Barbara Schaadt; and his stepdaughter Elesa Clark. He is survived by : his children, Richard Smith (Janette) of Paulding, OH, Kenneth Smith (Kathleen) of Dover, OH and Marlene Kipfer (Don) of Payne, OH; his stepdaughters, Pam Gray of Elkhart, IN and Maria Moleski of Elkhart, IN; and his sister Mary Porter of Paulding, OH. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, April 8th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Den Herder Funeral Home (1000 W Wayne St, Paulding, OH 45879). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
