He was predeceased by: his sister Vicki Sprow; his mother-in-law Susan LaBounty; and his grandparents, Richard, Christine Zuber and Erma Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Ashley Smith (LaBounty); his children, Lailah, Sophia, Adriana and Caroline; and his parents, Jerry Smith (Brenda) and Linda Zuber. He is also survived by five sisters, nieces, nephews, many extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (1233 Emerald Rd, Paulding, OH 45879). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sam's memory in care of his wife, Ashley Smith, for his daughters' education expenses or to the Paulding County Dog Shelter.
