It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Benschneider of Payne, Ohio, who passed away on March 29, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Benschneider and Lucile Benschneider (Overmyer); and his brother Richard "Dick" Benschneider. He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Hanenkratt); his daughters, Terri Ulrey (Lyle) of Van Wert and Lanette Dossen (Jarrod) of Fort Wayne; his grandchild Chris Ulrey (Kali); and his in-laws, Phil, Betty Hanenkratt, Mike Hanenkratt (Myra), Jill Tsafarides (George), Jay Hanenkratt, Loraine Comfort, Van Hanenkratt (Lisa) and Corinne Lamb (Mike). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews & friends.
