He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Grooms and Gladys Grooms (Young); his wife Glenna Grooms (Roush); and his brothers, Jim Grooms and Jerry Grooms.
He is survived by: his children, Jon Grooms (Lynn) of Goshen, Ohio and Joy Lazor (Rich) of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and his brother Harold Grooms (Shirley) of Peebles. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Dale's name to the Peebles Church of Christ Building Fund, 6050 Steam Furnace Road, Peebles, Ohio 45660.
