He is survived by: his wife Naomi Smalley Adkins; his children, Gerry Lee Adkins of West Union and Renee Etterling (Ryan) of Williamsburg; and his grandchildren, Preslee Etterling (Peighton) and Lincoln Etterling. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.
