We announce the death of Mary J Cruser of Peebles, Ohio, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 83. Mary will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Herbert W. Wey and Ruth J. "Jean" Wey (Jensen). She is survived by: her husband Roger S. Cruser; her children, Preston (Susanna Cruser) of Milford, Ohio and Erika (Dan Sowry) of Heath, Ohio.; her grandchildren, Devyn Sowry, Winter Cruser, Pax Cruser and Zen Cruser; and her sisters, Linda Leach of Goldsboro, Buddie Wetli of Boone and Brenda Wey (John Fillinger) of Boone.
Recognizing the possibilities that computers and new software could offer students and teachers, she sought funding and support through such organizations as the Eisenhower Foundation and SchoolNet.
