She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Shanks and Blanche Shanks (Eakins); her husband Charles Bennett; her children, Joyce Perfect and Charles Allan Bennett; her siblings, E. T. "Bill" Shanks and Mary Katherine Fulton; and her cousins, Darryl Shanks, Elaine Montgomery and Alfred Martelotti.
She is survived by: her son Jerry Bennett; her grandchildren, Lory Perfect, Lee Perfect and Robert Bennett; her great grandchildren, Brooke Perfect, Ashton Perfect and Carson Bennett; her niece Beth Shanks Surbrook; her nephews, Richard Fulton and Jack Fulton; her cousins, Charlene McCoppin, Mike Eakins, John Lawhorn and Yvonne Brewster; and her friend Norma Fristoe.
