He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Abke and Helen Abke (Zesing); his brother Jack C. Abke; his son Joel Cory Abke; and his brothers-in-law, Sam Miller and Lee Garling.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Lynn; his children, Jeff Abke and Joni Abke (Greg Henline); his granddaughters, Cassie McCurdy (Alex) and Chloe Wilson-Henline; his great grandchildren, Wren Alexander and Azalea Joylynn McCurdy; his sister Janet Miller; and his sister-in-law Jane Garling.
