He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Appelhans and Dorothy Appelhans (Bressler); his brother Joseph W. Appelhans; his nephew Kert Appelhans; and his daughter-in-law Trisha Appelhans.
He is survived by: his children, Matthew Appelhans (Stacy) of Luckey, Kelly Garman (Kris) of Bowling Green, Tracy Binkowski (Drew) of Bowling Green and Scott Appelhans of Rossford; his brother Lawrence Appelhans (Deanna); and his sister-in-law JoAnn Appelhans.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home (4094 OH-105, Pemberville, OH 43450). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
The family has chosen to send donations to Support for People with Oral And Head and Neck Cancer (SPOHNC).
