She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce McKinney and Myrtle McKinney (Thomas); and her siblings, Thomas McKinney, Alice Shreeve and Ralph McKinney.
She is survived by: her husband James L Smith; her daughters, Cherie Ruiz (Jose) of Aurora and April Hunziker (Jamie) of Painesville; her grandson Joe of Ava, AJ; and her great grandchild Carter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Spear Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home (667 Mentor Ave, Painesville, OH 44077).
