He is survived by : his wife Sharlene; his brother Garry (Sandy); and his children, Lori (Zack), Lisa (Bob), Patrick (Kimberly) and Amanda (Eric). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

“Jerry and I first met in the early 1970s, right after I left active duty and joined the Lou Diamond Detachment, Marines Corps League. Jerry was a proud Marine who routinely did what he could to help anyone, particularly a veteran -- he was one (1) of a kind. Through the years Jerry and I did many things, to include the annual Toys for Tots program. Jerry embodied the ethos of the Marine Corps -- service to God and country.
