He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Ruff and Norma Ruff (Bunn); and his brother Benjamin T. Ruff. He is survived by: his wife Cindi Ruff (Vendemo); his children, Benjamin R. Ruff and Bethany M. Bode (Kyle); his brothers, Ronald Ruff (Hewook) and Michael Ruff (Christine); and his grandchildren, Charlotte and Jackson.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Walker Funeral Home & Crematory - Sylvania (5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations will support Head and Neck Cancer Gift Fund (Swiecicki research) at the University of Michigan.
