He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Schippert and Norma Jean Schippert (Brooks); his spouse Jean L. Terry (Troutman); his daughter Jennifer Lyn Schippert; his stepdaughter Debbie Terry; and his sister Kathy Hawkins.

He is survived by: his children, John P. Schippert (Heather) of Uniontown, Scott F. Schippert (Kristina) of New Castle, PA, Jodi Moebus (Jonathan) of Canonsburg, PA and Sheila A. Schippert of Austintown; his stepchildren, Amy Scott (Jim) of Petersburg, Charles Terry of Struthers and Anjuli Terry of Richmond, VA; and his sister Carol Purnell of Lake Milton. He is also survived by grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
