He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Cotterman and Janice Cotterman (Jackson); his son John Cotterman, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Gary Passwaters. He is survived by: his wife Candy; his children, Duane E. Cotterman of Michigan, Traci Scott (Ron) and Jarrod Jones; his sisters, Diana Price (Dan) and Karen Rabine (late Kurt); his grandchildren, Rebecca Cotterman, Donald Cotterman, Lilly Cotterman, Faith Hirschfelt, Delanie Jones, Kadance Jones, Amanda Jones and Markus Beach; his great grandchildren, Alexis Scott, Hunter Scott, Caiden Scott, Chevelle Beach and Maci Beach; his great great grandchildren, Zayden, Braxton and Cambria; and his siblings' children, Nicole, Glen McClelland, Steve Kuhn, Brad Kuhn, Jesse Passwaters, Jeremy Passwaters and Leanne Rhodes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Farus Funeral Home of Duncan Falls (383 Main St, Duncan Falls, OH 43734). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 4:03 PM at the Duncan Falls Cemetery.
