He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert H. Avers and Anna Avers (Smearsoll); and his son Theodore Robert Avers. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Avers; his daughter Gayle Avers; and his siblings, Paul W. Avers, Marilyn Buchholz (Gerald) and Shirley McKinniss (Paul D.). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
