He was predeceased by: his father Wilrose Blanchette; his sister Irene Blanchette; his former wife Martha Ames Blanchette; and his brother-in-law Robert Noddin. He is survived by: his wife Janet Blanchette; his sons, Ronald Blanchette Jr. (Kathleen West), Mark Blanchette (Cathrine), Robert Blanchette (Tina), Matthew Blanchette (Brian Fennell) and Jared Jones; and his brother Carl Blanchette. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
