He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence W. Zechman and Marilyn Postance Zechman; his brother William Zechman; his son Bryan Zechman; and his stepsons, Scott Barton and Thomas Barton.

He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Mae Angelis Zechman; his brother Thomas Zechman; his son James Zechman; his grandchildren, Adam, Noah, Gabe, Kathryn and Brittany (Tim Manabusin); his great grandchildren, Marley, Aliniah and Izzy; his granddaughter Courtney (Jeff Hellon); his great grandchildren, Zeppelin and Oliver; his granddaughter Jerrica (Navin Nguyen); his great grandchildren, Nessan and Noella; Zachary (Heather), Kara, Paxton, Thomas, Alex and Ella.
