He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jean Nickell (Montgomery); his children, Steven Cecil Nickell, Glenn Edward Nickell (Sharon) and Jennifer Sue Montgomery (John); his grandchildren, Hilary Koch (Jared), Michelle Franklin (Albert), Emily Nickell, Derrick Nickell (Brittany), Jacob Montgomery (Savanna), Lillian Nickell, Roger Montgomery and Danielle Gee (Devin); his great grandchildren, Alexis Franklin, Avery Franklin, Ezra Koch, Payton Montgomery, Brayden Montgomery, Eliana Ford, Hayden Montgomery, Waylon Gee, Oliver Koch, Weston Gee and Clover Mullins; his siblings, Tony Roger Nickell and Shirley Tackett; and his sister-in-law Jeanie Nickell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Boyer Funeral Home (125 W 2nd St, Waverly, OH 45690). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
