It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Garry Arnett Hurless of Piketon, Ohio, who passed away on October 6, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnett Frederick Hurless and Mary Ellen Lindsay Hurless; his brother Ron Hurless; and his nephew Ed Locke. He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Burkitt (Dwayne) of Marysville, Shannon Wyckoff (Tab) of New London and Stephanie Jenkins (Cortney) of Delaware, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jessica, Erica, Dana (Tyler), Casey (Jomar), Corey (Andy), Mackenzie (Drew) and Caden; his great grandchildren, Ryanne, Kodi, Jaxon, Willow, Brentley, Radley and Wesley; and his sisters, Candy Bowser (Dan) of Florida and Pam Leslie (Oren) of Piketon. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Botkin Hornback Funeral Home (314 E North St, Waverly, OH 45690). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at the Bethel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be sent to Elm Grove Church of Christ, 8155 Chenoweth Fork Rd. Piketon, Ohio 45661.
