He is survived by: his wife Barbara Burkitt (McFann); his children, Daniel Burkitt (Penny), Elizabeth Johnson (Randal), David Burkitt (Lori) and Ellen Emnett (Jake); his grandchildren, Lindsay Ottens (John), Edward Burkitt, Cyndi Wallace (Ben), Ethan Johnson and Connor Burkitt (Gracey); his stepgranddaughter Sydney Brandyn Obetz (Zach); his great grandchildren, Emmitt Wallace, Kamryn Wallace, Jase Wallace, Lexi Wallace, Emma Ottens and Luke Ottens; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Braedyn Obetz and Macyn Obetz; his brothers, Morris Burkitt (Nancy) and Delmar Burkitt; and his friends, Benny Endicott and Elmer "Dutch" Skidmore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
