Mayple leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mayple’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Mayple will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern McComas and Eunice Elkins McComas; her husband Homer Wooten; and her daughter-in-law Diana Wooten. She is survived by: her sons, Homer Wooten, Jr. of Piketon, OH and Heath Wooten (Sherry) of Wayne, WV; and her grandchildren, Amanda Wooten, Homer Wooten, III, Cameron Wooten and Sarah Wooten.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570).
