We are sad to announce that on October 18, 2025, at the age of 79, Walter Rodney Smith of Piketon, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, V. Emerson Smith and Thelmas Kathleen Smith (Burkitt); his granddaughter Katlyn Elizabeth Smith; and his siblings, Jeanette Leslie, Kelly Smith, Christine Williams and Irene Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith (Blankenship); his sons, Wayne Smith (Michele) and Ronnie Smith; his grandson Matt Smith (Ari); and his great grandchildren, Branson, Waylon and Tate Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Boyer Funeral Home (125 W 2nd St, Waverly, OH 45690). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Valley Community Church (1008 Jasper Rd, Piketon, OH 45661).
