He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Tokarz and Mary Tokarz (Janik); and his brother Joe Tokarz. He is survived by: his wife Sue Tokarz; his children, Joseph Tokarz (Niya Nolting) and Megan Tokarz; his stepsons, Matt Mello (Sommer), Eric Mello (Kerry) and Andy Short (Kristi); his grandchildren, Sailor, Lux, Elsie, Megdalyn, Saydee, Libbie, Kendall, Molly, Grady and Atlas; and his sister Annette Hedge.

Memorials may be given in his memory to the Montpelier Girls Basketball Program.
